Differences between Soda Water and Sparkling Waters
Soda Water
Soda water does not come naturally carbonated. Soda water becomes carbonated when it is infused with carbon dioxide and has added minerals like sulphate, salt, and sodium bicarbonate. The trace amount of minerals can impact the flavour and each brand has its own proportions.
Sparkling Water and Sparkling Mineral Water
Sparkling water is water that has been infused with carbon dioxide gas artificially. Sparkling mineral water occurs naturally due to geological processes. Depending on the source, sparkling mineral waters contain varying levels of natural carbonation along with minerals like sodium, magnesium, and calcium. Sparkling waters can be used as mixers and even though we love our vinegars with soda water due to the bubbles, it’s equally good with both kinds of sparkling water.
Soda water works wonderfully with our Live Vinegars as soda water is infused with bicarbonate of soda which helps the drink hold its bubbles when the Vinegars are added. This means the soda water is slightly fizzier than sparkling waters and therefore lifts the vinegar to another level.
